This new CPU is called the Intel i3 7350K, which is listed at a price of $177 and will come with two CPU cores with hyperthreading. Intel has not officially confirmed that they will be releasing an overclockable core i3 7350K, but it certainly would be an interesting move from the company. It is likely that this overclockable i3 CPU will be launched in response to AMD's upcoming Zen-based CPUs, solidifying the companies grip on the lower end market.

No that's just a low end i5. I wish the i5k was that cheap!
Absurd pricing though. They are doing this to prepare for a fight against ZenQuote

It is likely that the pricing is wrong, though the UK pricing is likely to be crap with the current value of the pound.Quote

In the UK the 2500k was £150-£170 at launch. With the exchange rate as it is today that $177 is highly likely to be £170 or more.

It seems they are pee taking as much as they can before Zen hits. IMO only stupid people will buy KL chips. Any one with half a brain knows Zen is coming and knows it will be cheaper (not necessarily cheap, but cheapER).

Last chance saloon for Intel IMO.Quote

If ZEN brings out an overclockable Quad core cpu at that price it is going to be a massive slap to intel's faceQuote
