CPU-ID's CPU-Z utility has been updated with support or Intel's 9th generation Coffee Lake series processors, further confirming the existence and model names of Intel's next-generation processors.

The patch notes for version 1.86 of CPU-Z explicitly mentions six new Coffee Lake-S processors, Intel's 9900K, 9700K, 9600K, 960 (typo? 9600?), 9500 and 9400, all of which are expected to release within the next two months.

Specifications for Intel's 9900K, 9700K and 9600K have already leaked online (link), though at this time the specs of Intel's lower end, likely i5, processor models remain relatively unknown. Even so, we can expect these models to all offer six cores/threads and offer a clock speed bump over their immediate predecessors.

(A second helping of coffee, sir?)

Intel is expected to release their next-generation of desktop processors within the next few months, offering eight-core processors on a mainstream socket for the first time, taking on AMD's Ryzen lineup with similar core counts and higher single-core clock speeds.
