Intel announces their presence at Computex - Keynote dated

Computex is always a key event for the PC market, a place where hardware vendors have an opportunity to unveil and showcase their latest wares and give attendees a glimpse of what is to come.

Intel has confirmed that their Computex Keynote will be on June 5th, starting at 2 PM Taipei time, though at this time Intel has been very tight-lipped about what they will be showcasing at the event. With 10nm's delay until 2019, it is likely that any new processors from the company will be built on the same 14nm node a Coffee Lake, with recent rumours suggesting that Computex will act as Intel's launch platform for 8-core Coffee Lake processors and new Z390 motherboards.

The event will be hosted by Gregory Bryant, Intel's senior vice president and general manager of the Client Computing Group, the ideal person for a new CPU launch, though it seems that Intel also plans to focus on their 5G chipset efforts,

Join Intel at COMPUTEX 2018 to discover how the company is powering the future of computing, connectivity and communications through advanced innovations in client computing, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and 5G network transformation.

Intel's 8-core Coffee Lake processors have been rumoured since before Z370 launched, with Z390 series motherboard rumours dating back to around this time last year. To say that a new launch is expected is an understatement, especially when recent leaks from both Intel and Biostar have already confirmed Z390's existence.
