For a limited time, Gigabyte Aorus UK is giving away free 256GB UD PRO SSDs with their new B450 Aorus PRO motherboards, giving budget PC builders and gamers a lot of extra value with their purchases.

Today, 256GB SSDs typically cost around £40-50 in the UK, delivering end users tremendous value when bundled with the company's already affordable B450 Aorus Pro mainboard, which costs around £110-115 in the UK depending on your chosen retailer.

This offer is currently available at both Scan and Ebuyer while stocks last, offering high-speed SATA performance to provide users with faster boot times and staggeringly quick application loading times. It is hard to not recommend an SSD as a boot drive on today's systems, given their performance advantages when compared to mechanical drives.

Sadly, we have not reviewed Gigabyte's B450 Aorus motherboard at this time, leaving us concerned that this bundle was created to help end-users glance over some kind of design issue. Hopefully, these concerns will be addressed as more reviewers get the opportunity to test Ryzen on AMD's new B450 chipset.

The release of AMD's B450 chipset has further cemented the company's plans to support their AM4 socket until 2020, allowing all of today's AM4-class motherboards to support upcoming Ryzen processors for one or two more product generations. This pledge means that B450 (and older AM4 motherboards) will support AMD's future 7nm Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000 series) processors when updated to a supported BIOS, offering a tremendous amount of forwards compatibility. In contrast, Intel motherboard chipsets/sockets typically don't support more than two CPU generations.

B450 also adds support for StoreMI technology and updates the platform with re-worked VRM and memory wiring specifications to offer enhanced memory compatibility and stability, traits that we have previously seen on X470 mainboards. B450 also supports overclocking, a feature that is not available on Intel's competing B360 motherboards, giving AMD the budget overclocking crown.

Gigabyte's UD PRO SSD offers adds boatloads of extra value to AMD's already budget-oriented B450 chipset, giving gamers a great opportunity to create a real budget-performance system. Remember, this deal is available for a limited time, while stocks last.

Quite good bundle, although personally, I’ve always hated Gigabytes motherboard designs and especielly their new ”Aorus” logo. That thing is just horrible.Quote

From what I've heard about that B450 board you need extra fans to put over the VRMs not an SSDQuote

Quite a nice looking board as it goes. Especially in that price bracket. Deffo looks higher end.

I might even be tempted to take that over the Strix, given it has ghey writing all over it.Quote
