AMD will bring NVMe RAID support to X399 on September 25th

AMD has announced that they will be bringing NVMe RAID support for their X399 Threadripper platform on September 25th, thanks to a new NVMe RAID driver and upcoming BIOS updates.

Sadly AMD has also revealed that they have no plans to bring NVMe RAID to their AM4 platform, though this is understandable given that platform’s lesser PCIe capabilities.

This is a huge update for AMD’s Threadripper CPU platform, given the large number of PCIe lanes that the platform has at its disposal. AMD states that RAID 0, 1 and 10 will be supported when the platform is updated, with up to 10 different NVMe devices.
