Passive Heatsink launch postponed? – Noctua delays most of its H1 2021 roadmap

Noctua has updated its 2021 hardware roadmap, confirming that many of the company’s upcoming product launches have been delayed. These product delays will include highly anticipated products like Noctua’s passive/fanless CPU cooler and the black versions of their NF-A12x25 fans and NH-U12A heatsinks.

Most products from Q1 and Q2 of Noctua’s 2021 roadmap have been pushed back by a quarter, making Noctua’s sole Q1 2021 launch the release of a new “Redux Line CPU Cooler”. Noctua’s Passive Heatsink, black NF-A12x25 fans, NH-U12A heatsink covers and Black NH-U12A cooler have been delayed to Q2 2021. Similarly, Noctua’s all-white fans have been delayed from Q2 2021 until Q3 2021.

With this new roadmap change, Noctua has not added any new products to their 2021 lineup. This delay has likely been influenced by the return of COVID-19 lockdowns across the globe. As always, Noctua’s roadmaps are estimates and are subject to change. Noctua’s roadmaps are based on current plans and can be delayed to allow the manufacturer to fine-tune their products, further research and development, or manufacturing-related delays.

As it stands, Noctua’s Passive heatsink is still due to launch in Q2 2021, after Intel’s Rocket Lake CPU launch. Noctua will likely showcase its latest products at Computex 2021, where the company often showcases its latest heatsink and fan designs. At the bottom of this article, we have included Noctua’s latest 2021 product roadmap.
