Dev's game removed from Steam

It isn't very often that a game gets removed from Steam. last night the Indie game Paranautical Activity has been taken down following the Developer, Mike Maulbeck, posting a death threat addressed at Valve's Gabe Newell. Maulbeck's game was initially highlighted on a Steam store segment featuring Halloween-themed games. Paranautical Activity was mistakenly captioned as an Early Access title despite being completed, to which Maulbeck tweeted the following:

Finally Maulbeck tweets this, a death threat to Valve's managing Director and co-founder Gabe Newell.

Paranautical Activity was quickly removed from Steam following the posting of Maulbeck's tweets. "We have removed the game’s sales page and ceased relations with the developer after he threatened to kill one of our employees," said a Valve spokeperson.

I see no issue with Steam's reaction to this. Furthermore, the developer has got some nice publicity out f this so will probably sell a few copies off the back off this if it's available from him direct somewhereQuote
