Watch Dogs 2 will receive a 4-player Party mode on July 4th, allowing gamers to play together in free roam and access bounties, races and even invade other players.

This new mode will effectively make Watch Dogs 2’s open world a little more like GTA Online, though 4 player parties will be unable to play the game’s original Co-op missions, as they were designed for just two players. When using 4-player Co-op, Leaderboards will also be disabled in-game, as the higher co-op player count would otherwise introduce imbalances.

The free 4 player Party Mode update is here! Starting on July 4th, you’ll be able to bring even more friends along for some San Francisco hacking antics. Free roam around the Bay or take part in 4-player activities such as Invasions or Sh0wdown. Happy hacking!
