Crytek showcases gameplay for Hunt Showdown

At E3 2017, Crytek has been showing off their new game Hunt: Showdown, a game previously known as Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age. In this gameplay demo, five teams to two people will track and kill demons within the game world with action that comprises of elements of both PvP and PvE, with the mode featuring permadeath and a huge in-game map.

This game will be powered by CryEngine, offering some very dark and gloomy visuals, which is highly suited to the game’s dark setting.

Unlike most multiplayer games, death in permanent in Hunt Showdown, which drives players to be more careful than in other games. When a hunter dies their items and abilities will be gone, though some passive “bloodline traits” will carry over to new player characters, creating a “fear of death” that is simply not present in most other games.

At this time Hunt: Showdown has no set release date.
