A Way Out will release in March 2018 – Only one copy is needed to play online co-op
In this new trailer, it was also revealed that only a single copy of the game was required to play the whole title in online co-op, which means that players will not be required to convince a friend to purchase the title in order to enjoy the experience online.Â
This works using the game’s “friends free pass” system with a unique Friends Free Pass-Trial version of the game, which offers the full game but only when playing online with an owner of the full game.Â
  We developed the game to be experienced with a friend on the couch, but since that isn’t possible for everyone, those who download the friend’s pass free-trial will be able to play the entire game online with a friend who owns the full game and still get an awesome experience.

A Way Out is a co-op only story-driven adventure where gamers play as two inmates as they escape from prison and make their way in the outside world. Here players will solve puzzles and evade the police while playing the game in a side-by-side split screen co-op, which exists even when playing online to ensure that the gameplay experience always remains the same.Â
A Way Out is currently set to be released on March 23rd, 2018 on PS4, Xbox One and PC via EA’s Origin platform.Â
