MSI has now created a new half-height RX 460 GPU, with both 2GB and 4GB options and AMD reference clock speeds. These new GPUs will compete with MSI’s recently releases GTX 1050 and 1050Ti Low Profile GPUs and come with the same dual fan GPU cooler.

The biggest difference between this half high RX 460 and other models is that it comes with a highly restricted rear IO, supporting only HDMI and Dual-link DVI connections, unlike other models which also support DisplayPort. This gives the MSI RX 460 LP a disadvantage when compared to the GTX 1050/1050 Ti LP in terms of display output options, which will be a problem for those that want to cheaply connect three displays to a modern, low profile GPU.
