AMD announce their Ryzen 7 series of CPUs
 Innovation and competition return to high-performance PCs March 2nd with worldwide Ryzen 7 availability. The AMD Ryzen 7 lineup includes the worldâs highest performing and lowest powered 8-core PC processors. Immediate pre-order availability from more than 180 retailers and boutique OEMs.

AMD now claims that they have the most powerful 8-core CPUs on the market, with their Ryzen 7 1800X offering 9% more performance than Intel’s 6900K in Cinebench while releasing with a price that is 54% lower.Â
The Ryzen 7 1800X will come with an MSRP of $499.99, which is significantly lower than the i7 6900K’s MSRP of $1089.99. Â

AMD’s Ryzen 7 1700X will come with reduced clock speeds when compared to the 1800X, though it still compares well with Intel’s 6900K, easily outperforming Intel’s similarly priced i7 6800K.Â
The Ryzen 7 1700X will come with an MSRP of $399, with base and boost clock speeds of 3.4GHz and 3.6GHz respectively. The Ryzen 7 1800X will come with base and boost clock speeds of 3.6 and 4.0GHz base and boost.Â
The AMD Ryzen 7 1700 will be AMD’s low power 8-core offering, with a lower price of $339 and base/boost clock speeds of 3.0GHz and 3.7GHz. Â Â
AMD has also announced that Ryzen has surpassed the companies initial expectations, with an IPC increase of 52% over Excavator, which is much higher than their early estimate of a 40% IPC increase.Â

AMD has announced that there will be 82 different motherboard designs for Ryzen at launch, from a wide range of manufacturers like ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, ASRock and Biostar.Â
At launch, there will be 19 system building companies that will stock Ryzen based systems, with over 180 retailers stocking Ryzen products.Â

AMD has announced that Pre-orders for Ryzen CPUs will start later today, with a planned launch date of March 2nd. Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3 series CPUs will release later in the year.Â

Right now AMD’s Ryzen 7 CPUs are confirmed to be priced at $499 for the 1800X, $399 for the Ryzen 7 1700X and $329 for the Ryzen 7 1700. We will inform you with final UK pricing as soon as it is confirmed. Â
