The Witcher 3’s REDkit modding tools are coming to Steam this month

The Witcher 3 will soon have near limitless modding potential

CD Projekt Red has announced that their REDkit modding tools for The Witcher 3 will be available later this month on Steam. These tools will ne available for free to all owners of the game, offering gamers to modify one of the world’s most popular RPGs to their hearts content.

With these tools, modders will be able to create new quests, items, weapons, characters, and animations. This will allow fans of the game to write new storylines and even create new territories within The Witcher 3. This toolset is based on CD Projekt Red’s own development tools. This means that gamers will have near limitless freedom when creating new content for the game.

REDkit will be available on Steam on May 21st. The tools are only usable on systems where The Witcher 3 is installed. Recently, REDkit was made available for playtesting, giving CD Projekt Red time to collect feedback and make some minor changes to their modding toolset. Now, it looks like REDkit is almost ready for launch.

With REDkit, fans of The Witcher 3 can look forward to a wealth of modded content. Gamers can expect new questlines, new items, armour sets, characters, and more. Modders may even create full-sized expansions for the game.
