Crytek’s Hunt Showdown is getting upgrades a CryEngine 5.11 upgrade

Hunt Showdown is about to get a major overhaul on PC and current-generation consoles

Crytek’s Hunt: Showdown will be receiving a major upgrade on August 15th, moving the game to the latest version of CryEngine. With this shift, the game will no longer be supported on last-generation consoles. That said, the game will become better than ever thanks to Crytek’s upgrades to CryEngine.

With the game’s CreyEngine 5.11 upgrade, players can expect to see a new map, a new biome, and a redesigned UI. The game will also be receiving performance updates, and improvements to the game’s visuals.

Crytek is currently working on Crysis 4, and Hunt Showdown’s upcoming update will give gamers a glimpse of the company’s latest technology. CryEngine has changed a lot since the release of Hunt Showdown, and we will see the benefits of those changes on August 15th.

After the game’s August 15th update, Hunt Showdown will only be playable on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Players on older consoles will need to upgrade to their system’s current-gen counterpart to continue playing Hunt Showdown. All game progress and unlocks will carry over to Hunt Showdown’s new version.
