Proving that pure MHz is not always the key to good DDR3 speeds, the CAS9 timings of the Ripjaws X give a good showing in AIDA64. Of course it's not as fast at the best 2133MHz kits we've seen such as the Kingston Genesis or even the speediest Ripjaws X kit, but there also is enough speed here to show that you're not compromising by having such a large capacity available.
Memory Latency
Latency speeds are understandably average. The 16GB Ripjaws X is a whole 6 billionths of a second slower than the very best we've tested.

exactly where i am at with my Vengeance 1600CL9 sticks. Cannot hit 1866 not CL8 with 1.65V, but does 9/9/9/24/1T at 1.5V.
Liked the review, like the way you point to solid gear for a proper price and that not being bleeding edge as some sort of failure.
man.....its kinda hard to believe how cheap ram has got over the past cppl years.......12gigs in 2008??? what was it???? 4-5 hundred???
Why would anybody need this much ram unless your running a server or some ram heavy programs. I think anything over 8GB ram is overkill.
