Conclusion

Mice are such personal and important objects in the PC Gaming experience that it's always a tough job reviewing one: some people may well love a mouse that others simply hate.

That the Hades H1 is an excellent gaming mouse is beyond doubt to me; the performance and experience I have had in-game is equal to, or perhaps better than the superb Logitech G5.

Having said that the minor build niggles I listed on page 2 did make me think twice as to whether I'd buy one. The RRP for the H1 is £39.99 with stock due in the UK before the christmas period. This is a decent price, falling in line with the other gaming mice out there, though perhaps a little on the expensive side for a newcomer.

Based solely on performance, application and looks I can recommend the Hades H1 Optical Gaming Mouse, however without a price it's hard to do any more. I know gamers will love this mouse, if the price is right.

A "New Kid on the Block"* landed on my desk a week or so ago.

Let's see how it lives up to the rest of the "Backstreet Boys"**

* Note: I only know the name of this band as I focused my hate on them as a young miscreant

* Note MKII: And again I only have this information as I had a girlfriend who....oh I give up

Nice review kemp, personally im not too sure on the looks, looks abit plasticy to me tbh.... Seems a solid performer mind, the mouse matt also looks pretty good.

I don't think it's any more plasticky than my Logitech G5, apart from perhaps the two issues I brought up

Great review as usual Kemp. The Hades performed really well, especially against a very seasoned vet like the G5. I also love the fact that the mouse is so configurable.
