The Nitty Gritty

Enough science. This review is on the Sapphire bundle that comes with the card so lets see what you get

The Bundle

The bundle with the Sapphire card is good.

You get:

X1900XT-X PCI-Express

Sapphire X1900XTX

Connectors:

2 x Molex to PCI-Express Power Convertors
1 x S-Video cable
2 x DVI to VGA Convertors
1 x S-Video to Component HD cable
1 x S-Video to 2 x S-Video and Composite Cable Convertors
1 x Composite Cable
1 x Sapphire Installation driver CD (with adapted 5.13 beta drivers I believe)
1 x OEM Power DVD 6 (2ch)
1 x PowerDirector 4 (Trial)
1 x "Sapphire Choice Select" Game bundle

Sapphire X1900XTX package Sapphire X1900XTX package 2

The package is pretty decent for a retail package this early on in the cards release life, with a choice of two from four full games. These are:

Tony Hawks Underground 2
Richard Burns Rally
Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within
Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30

You get to play the games on trial and then select which two you want by entering the serial key on the CD box. The games are decent enough games but the inclusion of some newer titles like CoD 2 would have been nice to showcase the cards abilities.

The connectors included are just about all you'll need to run the card from any monitor or TV, so props to Sapphire for that. I think I may have a play with the HD connection for the card after completing this review of gaming performance - ATI's AVIVO sounds like a very nice feature indeed.

Onto test setup...
