Overclocking
I am simply using the ATI Catalyst Control Centre "Overdrive" facility to overclock this card on stock air...out of the box. No voltage tweaks or external overclocking facilities have been used at all. Please also bear in mind that the driver I am using is a beta driver, giving additional support for the card before an official release supports it.
Here's what I got just doing a "quick" overclock:
This result was pretty strange. I actually managed to attain a higher frequency on the memory (1056MHz), but the core would not overclock anyahere near as well. I settled for a higher core clock and lower memory clock for the benchmark run.
3dMark06 Overclocked
With a nice gain over the stock 3dMark06 score, this shows that with better driver support, and maybe some voltage tweaks, the X1950XTX will be a very good overclocker. I'm pretty sure some of the Xtreme overclockers among us will be tearing up the ORB with this card or even a pair in crossfire.

Nice review. Good pix & benches too, Kempez
Very thorough. You should use that card, hehe..your GTX get's smacked around by both cards lol, it's depressing (for you at least).

3 reasons:
1: nVidia's drivers are better
2: My GTX doesn't sound like its about to take off
3: I know I'll change my card when DX10 cards come out

Nice card tho

LOL good point. The X1K is quite loud, but christ ever stick your hand back there? Pushes at least 60 CFM at 100% if not more.
