ASUS GTX780 Ti Matrix Platinum Review
As you would expect from a ROG card, and indeed the top of the range ROG offering the Matrix, it comes in exceptional packaging that exudes class. We love the minimalist look.
The card itself is gorgeous. There are many 'takes' upon the twin-fan cooler available and this is probably the best we've seen. The different facets and shades of grey really make it look beautiful and easy on the eye. The backplate is extremely sturdy, as befits a card designed to be run at sub-zero temperatures.
When even your heatpipes are black you know there there is an attention to detail that goes far beyond the average hunk of aluminium that can be found on a heatsink. We defy anyone to look at the Matrix and not think it's a hugely desirable piece of kit.
Despite being designed for extreme overclocking under the harshest conditions, the Matrix only requires two 8pin PCIe power inputs. It's another testament to the general quality and design ethos that the power inputs are latched the other way around to normal cards, which would be the way the power comes in on a bench table.
