ASUS GTX1070 Strix Review

ASUS GTX 1070 Strix Review

Introduction

There seems to be a rush of Pascal equipped cards flooding into the OC3D offices lately. From the nVidia Founders Edition via the MSI Gaming X to the most recent Gainward Phoenix. All of them have been great performers, giving GTX 980 Ti frame rates for reduced power consumption, whilst also including all the ANSEL and VSync goodness that nVidia are providing with their latest GPU.

Today we’ve got the next in the ASUS Strix range in our bench system. With the same DirectCU III cooler as the GTX 1080, ASUS’ excellent AURA lighting system and a decent overclocking hike it should put itself about as one of the premiere GTX 1070 cards around.

As always though, what things should be and what they are is why we put them through our OC3D Benchmark suite, so instead of merely postulating let’s get down to business and see how it performs.
