AMD R9 270X Review

Hitman Absolution and Resident Evil 6

AMD R9 270X Review

Hitman Absolution

Demonstrating once again that the Radeon cards have a excellent anti-aliasing performance, the 270X still manages 30FPS in the difficult Hitman Absolution, even with 8xMSAA. Considering that even the best overclocked GTX780 only obtains 55FPS it shows that with some careful image quality choices you can get a very smooth game.

Resident Evil 6

At 1920x1080 the R9 270X still gives the all-important S rank in Resident Evil 6. It's only when we move to the higher resolution that it finally dips down to an A performance grade, although that's still far from poor.

Nice review, but I'm sure you can get a 7870 for less that 180 and as said in the review, it has pretty much the same performance.

Nice to see the 780 and Titan to still be king of the hill... Lets see what the 290x throws at them.

Good review.

Great review as always, the card could be a bit cheaper but its still what i consider reasonable price.

Though considering i got both my 7870 tahiti LE cards for 200 total on the used market, i would advise others to buy a used hd 7870 tahiti card or a new one if you want to stretch your pounds further.

shame they don't come with more vram. It'd be a killer for battlefield based budget-y systems if it had more vram.
