AMD HD6790 Review
Far Cry 2 and Metro 2033

By virtue of its older, less shader intensive, nature we'd expect Far Cry 2 to perform well on the HD6790 but it's actually the opposite with the scores as low as we've ever seen. Not very good.
Metro 2033
With a single card Metro 2033 gives fairly standard results across the board. We're not too certain why but even the most powerful single GPU doesn't really force the issue. Thankfully for AMD this means the HD6790 becomes the little card that could here, only 10 FPS behind a stock GTX570.

Ahh... AMD's GTX 550 Ti. The meh cards that you're better off not cheaping out for.

It's better than I expected it to be but IMHO it's pretty pointless when for a bit more you can get a 6850 and when non reference versions come out which will cost a bit more it will be even more pointless.
I don't understand why Nvidia and AMD released the 550 and 6790 surely the time and effort would have been better spent making improved versions of the 6850 and 460.

a better 5770, why not? its better then the 550ti that means price drops for the 550 ti
