Moving away from the 3D tests to the pure clock speed ones, the Gaming 5 rapidly drops down our graphs. It’s all extremely close, so although it’s positioned near the bottom in actual result terms there is very little in it. Indeed if we sorted by zLib then the Gaming 5 would be at the top. The memory bandwidth is similar, although here the Maximus VII Hero definitely has the march on the other Z97s.
