Cryptography

So far, so average for the 2697v2s. The AES256 result is hardly newsworthy, especially when you compare it to the single-CPU i7-3960X. In Sandra it claws back a lot of the lost ground, even if the AES256 result again seems to hold everything back. So cryptography isn't the keystone of the E5-2697v2, let's see if anything else is worthy of note.

My dangly bits tingled during the Cinebench run
Highest score i've had on my 2500k is about 7.9 and that took a good 30secs, maybe more to complete the render test.

I would love to have two of these Xeons but 1. I can't afford them and 2. I have no use for them anyway, so it would be a waste.
I still want them though!! Quote

I would love to see you guys putting Ubuntu on this rig and running The Phoronix Test Suite. Get all of those cores up and running. Running a desktop OS on this rig may be selling it short.

Thinking about it the test suite is something you guys might want to look into as it can running on Windows and automates benchmarks and might become a tool that could be used across the board.Quote
