Our AIDA64 results bear out the 100MHz deficit of the Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 5, with the CPU results close but still having it at the bottom. Particularly striking is how reliant upon CPU clock speed the memory bandwidth benchmark is, with the Gaming 5 a fair way behind the other Z97s that we’ve tested.
