3D Benchmarks

Cinebench 10 is a benchmarking tool based on the powerful 3D software Cinema 4D. The suite uses complex renders to gauge the performance of the entire PC system in both single-core and multi-core modes. Testing was performed a total of 5 times with the highest and lowest results being omitted and an average created from the remaining 3 results.

3DMark is a popular synthetic gaming benchmark used by many gamers and overclockers to gauge the performance of their PC's. All 3DMark runs were performed a total of 5 times with the highest and lowest results being removed and an average calculated from the remaining 3 results. Also included are the CrossfireX results to give an indication of how 8x PCIe lanes perform.

Results Analysis

Neither the MSI nor the Gigabyte could match the Asus motherboard in the Cinebench tests with the Asus coming out on top in all three tests. The Futuremark benchmarks were a different story however with the UD5 coming out on top in both 05 and 06 tests but falling ever so slightly behind in Vantage.

Let's take a look at our gaming benchmarks...

Best in class, w00t w00t! That's my board

Personally the only bug I've found is the CPU multiplier in the F3 bios: I couldn't lower the CPU multiplier.

Oh and one question: how did you save the bios? I'm too lazy to actually read the manualQuote

We got performance figures of these vS 775 setups ? I can'`t remember.

Either way, £218 is still taking the pish imo. These are the emerging mobos that will see revisions l8r in the year, and to charge over even £200 for them is beyond.

They figuring they can price match Foxconn or summit ?

Tis a shame, cos it does appear a great mobo from the review, but I have to be honest, being as i7 doesn`t do leaps and bounds over a 775, I for one aint gonna pay over the odds to get them.Quote
