DFI Lanparty LT X38-T2R Motherboard

Synthetic CPU & Memory Results

Sisoft Sandra

SiSoftware Sandra (the System ANalyser, Diagnostic and Reporting Assistant) is an information & diagnostic utility capable of benchmarking the performance of individual components inside a PC. Each of the benchmarks below were run a total of five times with the highest and lowest scores being discarded and an average being calculated from the remaining three.

X38-T2R Sisoft Sandra Memory Latency

Everest

Everest is in many ways similar to Sisoft Sandra. Focusing mainly on Software and Hardware information reporting, Everest also comes with a benchmark utility suitable for testing the read, write and latency performance of the memory subsystem. Each of these benchmarks were performed a total of 5 times with the highest and lowest scores being discarded and an average calculated from the remaining 3.

Result Observations

Despite the majority of the results being quite a mixed bag, the X38-T2R manages to keep up with the rest of the X38 and P35 based boards in almost all of the benchmarks. Interestingly, it would seem that DFI have done some tweaking on the X38-T2R vs its elder P35-T2R brother, as the board is consistantly faster in all benchmarks.

"Some of DFI's previous Lanparty branded boards have reached almost iconic status. Will their latest X38 based board be able to meet our expectations?"

Looks nice but a tad late in my opinion with the X48 boards coming out soon and no real gains over the T2R Ive got.

why not try overclock dual-core cpu (e6550, e6750 etc) with the board. to make sure it really is q6600's fsb wall and not motherboards. Just a suggestion.

No chips to hand i'm afraid. I've got two Q6600's and an E4300 floating about at the moment, and the E4300 maxes out at 375fsb lol.

Don't worry tho, you'll probably be seeing a lot more unofficial results form this board when the QX9650 arrives.

It looks like it might be a little while before these bouards are available in the UK, but I've been passed information that they should be available at these places:

States: Motherboardpro

Germany: Alternate

Having owned/tested pretty much all of DFI's Intel boards, I would say that this is the closest to how I remember my old NF4 being

Yeah I noticed that in a thread on XS. Its still there but hidden. DFI say that there is a big box of the boards arriving with them tomorrow-ish.
