ASUS Maximus V Extreme Review

3D Mark Vantage

There might only be fractions in it, but the ASUS Maximus V Extreme is consistently ahead of the chasing pack in 3D Mark Vantage. In fact with the overclock in place it's top of the graph, which is mightily impressive. Obviously the Lucid MVP isn't counted.

 

3D Mark 11

The results are much closer in 3D Mark 11, and the Maximus is right up there with the rest of the peloton, albeit not with the same lead we saw in the Vantage testing.

You can be certain that a new chipset will mean a new ROG board, and today we look at both Maximus V models. First, the Extreme.
