ASUS Maximus V Extreme Review

CineBench

The Maximus V Extreme absolutely dominates in the CineBench R11.5 benchmark. Whether at stock or overclocked it's topping the graph throughout. The stock CPU performance is the real highlight.

POV-Ray

In our other rendering package, POV-Ray, the results are a tale of two halves. At stock, once again, the M5E is a fair chunk ahead of the rest of the motherboards we've tested, and things are very close when overclocked, although the Maximus isn't topping the charts despite the beefier overclock in place.
