MSI Nightblade review

Up Close

Unquestionably when you’re looking at a system that is this compact, the first thought is how easy it would be to take to a LAN event. With Insomnia 51 coming up (OC3D will be there as always) we know that many people are lugging enormous full-size cases there. This is the perfect solution to that problem, and even has a neat carry handle for ease of portability.

We love the Dragon aesthetic that is starting to dominate the MSI range, and the subtle inclusion of a dragon on the side of the Nightblade is a nice touch. It’s one of those things that will get knowing nods by the cognoscenti.

Front USB ports, plenty of ventilation and some understated looks, the Nightblade case is both well designed and ripe for a modder to make the very most of it.

The compact nature of an iTX case has always been the sticking point for the majority of users. Fitting everything in is always problematic, and too many manufacturers are happy to tell you how high-performing their products are without actually telling you how small they are. The MSI Nightblade is a fantastic demonstration of how to cram in some extremely high-end hardware without compromising the cooling capacity of each item.
