Corsair’s H1XX series of All-in-One CPU liquid coolers continues to evolve

Corsair’s one of the biggest names within the CPU cooler market, with their original H100 being the spark that set off the All-in-One CPU liquid cooling trend. Before that, most liquid cooled PCs used custom liquid cooling setups or large air-cooled heatsinks, but the launch of the H100 sparked a major change within the PC industry.

Over time, Corsair’s H1xx series has evolved, scaling up to 360mm and 420mm radiator sizes with their H150 and H170 series coolers, while new pump innovations and fan designs have allowed newer models to deliver enhanced levels of cooling performance and cooler running systems. On top of that, we have the series’ visual tweaks, with the introduction of white H1xx models, RGB enhanced models, and other enhanced designs allowing H1xx buyers to create more striking systems.

Today we will be looking at Corsair’s new iCUE H150i ELITE LCD XT CPU cooler, specifically Corsair’s white version of the Closed-Loop Liquid Cooler (CLC). This model features an IPS screen that can use controlled by users, and a Corsair iCUE Commander CORE controller that can be used to control up to six fans and six ARGB products.

This new heatsink from Corsair features a new copper cold plate design that is optimise for AMD’s new AM5 Ryzen 7000 series processors and Intel’s LGA1700 Alder Lake and Raptor Lake processors.

All of Corsair’s latest tech in one package

Corsair’s new H1xxi ELITE LCD XT series is available in three forms, a 240mm H100i model, a 360mm H150i model, and a 420mm H170i model. All three of these CPU coolers use Corsair’s new AF RGB ELITE series, all three heatsinks support a ZERO RPM fan mode to make the unit silent under low thermal loads, and all three models feature a 2.1 inch IPS LCD screen that can be used to monitor CPU thermals, display images or GIFs, or display other system information.

On the topic of the LCD screen, Corsair has stated that the screen features a 480×480 resolution, supports a 24-bit colour depth, and has a bright 600 cd/m3 backlight.

On the pump side, Corsair has stated that their pump noise levels are sub-20 dBa, which is virtually silent, and we can confirm that our H150i’s pump is incredibly quiet. This pump is also said to be using a new “split-flow” copper cold plate design that is designed to deliver more efficient cooling performance.
