We're sure we're not alone in always having a desire for a jukebox. Or maybe you want a hot-tub to soak away the days blues.

As much as the cutting edge of hardware is something we are hugely passionate about, there is plenty to be said for those things we grew up with. MAME. Dreamcasts. Heaven.

There are plenty of big companies here. Turtle Beach have been around for longer than almost any other soundcard manufacturer. Kodak of course need no introduction.

Razer have brought along their immense range of gaming gear. There are also racing systems for more modest pockets.

Im goig to keep this short and sweet because its been a hell of a day and Ive still not had any dinner!

Most of the day has been spent waiting aroud for electric to be sorted on the stand, and Ive had no wifi either too upload anything from the event.

Pretty much all I can say is the OC3D/Aria stand is all set up ready, the rigs are on the stand, checked and all good.

Bring on the press day tomorrow and then the public from Wednesday!

Anyways here are some pics, Im going to try and upload a video overnight (hotel net is slow)

Stand just a shell, not electric or signs ect, how it was when I arrived.

http://upload.overclock3d.net/images...5393367576.jpg

http://upload.overclock3d.net/images...1903959857.jpg

All the parts and rig arrived about 1pm but still no electric

http://upload.overclock3d.net/images...5819942676.jpg

About 8pm I finally got electric and got cracking leak checking, and stability testing. Few minor issues but I got round them and everything is up and running!

Rigs are looking nice, with stand theme, just a pity theres no live stream as SieB says,no way u can hook up a webcam and get on ustream?

http://www.ustream.tv/

I guess the wifi there isn't exactly brilliant like most live events though.

Oh, and dont be overclocking the leap frogs on the next stand!

Ya, live stream would be nice, Justin.tv or the one steve mentioned. Dont suppose they have a hard line to the net there? But then I guess you would have to run the stream through one of the PCs though.

If Acer were to build and sell those cases without systems inside them, they could make a bit of money.

Heck they could start a small product line so long as each case has one of those slide up front doors.

Looks amazing, wish I was there! Any chance of a pic of the R34 Skyline??

Also, I couldn't help but notice a remarkable similarity:

http://upload.overclock3d.net/images...9680_thumb.png

(mind the poor paint skills)

Similar homes as well - Packed with gadgets!!!

14-04-2011, 17:02:37

Right, it's simple... I steal the Batmobile, grab as much stuff from the stands as I can and before I make my escape destroy the Alienware stand by driving strait through it and dounutting the car until everything is destroyed

Thanks for the floor plan Tom I can now plan it all out and come up with an escape route

any chance of more pron on that driving chair?

3 screen 3d?

whats the hardware and can you buy them?

do you think they would notice if i cam down and stuck it the back of a van?

Another pic of the Skyline.

And I thought the GT-R Skyline owned by Vibe was the one with the red rising sun, so thought this was a R34. Ah well.

There was also a canopy screen there on one of the racing sims, I didn't have a go but it looked amazing. Aapparently they are capable of 3D and use a projector.

This wasn't the one at the show, I think the one at the show was attached to a Vision Racer chair. There is just so much stuff there that you kind of loose track.

Tom I think you should go and check it out if you can find it, and then obviously swipe it for a lengthy review... Maybe 6 months or so...

The rigs do look Amazing in the flesh, not many white rigs there which made your stuff stand out even more. The water cooled SnowDrift looked brilliant, and I can only imagine the hours that that took to put together. My favourite had to be the Yeti, it just looks so clean and the white with the window might have to save up for one of those....

No room mate, please remember its a huge deal I even got the OC3D name there. Technically the rigs were there to promte Aria. Also a bit pointless just having a team number, youd need a rig folding with fliers explaining ect ect - also all that on an AMD stand? I think not.

Hi,

For the Yetei you say: "In the middle is Yeti. No not VB, the system. This is all about hardcore gaming. A Silverstone Raven 2 houses a Gigabyte 890 UD3 motherboard and Corsair HX1000w PSU."

...but i cant help but notice the fact that it looks like a AX750W...

I did look again, and can confirm your saying. Sorry, but the images was lined up in a way that i probably misread. I saw the 1000W as well, but thought it was "used on the wrong picture". Nothing more to it...dude...

Good luck for the rest of the show. I've done the Southampton Boat Show with no previous experience. The hardest I've ever worked. I was just running on adrenaline by the end. Good cameraderie with the other stalls after hours though.

Plan yourself a few days relax afterwards.
