Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be revealed this week

Ubisoft’s Japan-set Assassin’s Creed game will be revealed this week

Ubisoft has confirmed that they will be revealing their next Assassin’s Creed game later this week. On May 15th, gamers can expect to see a “Cinematic World Premiere” for Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Codename: Red was the working title for this unrevealed Assassin’s Creed title. Rumour has it that the game will be set in Feudal Japan, and the teaser below supports that theory.

Sadly, Ubisoft has not revealed a release dare for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Gamers can currently wishlist the game on Ubisoft store. This new title will be the first full scale Assassin’s Creed game to come from Ubisoft Quebec since 2017. The studio’s last game was Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, which was set in ancient Greece.

While the game’s “Cinematic World Premiere” will be on May 15th, we are unlikely to see gameplay footage until June 10th at Ubisoft Forward.

It is likely that Ubisoft’s new Assassin’s Creed game will be the first game in the series to launch exclusively on current-generation platforms. Last year’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage was available on both current generation and last-generation Xbox and PlayStation consoles. With this in mind, gamers should expect much stronger visuals with Ubisoft’s new Assassin’s Creed release.
