ZOTAC International today announced the release of their latest GeForce GTX 580 graphics card in the form of the GTX 580 AMP! Edition. Based on the recently released NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 reference GPU, the new ZOTAC GTX 580 AMP! Edition is a factory overclocked card aimed specifically at the enthusiast market.
As one of the fastest graphics cards in the market, the GeForce GTX 580 has developed quite a fan following within days of its release. Enthusiasts and gamers the world over have been impressed by the terrific performance of the card. Now ZOTAC is ready to give them something more to talk about in the form of the tweaked and tuned GeForce GTX 580 AMP! Edition.
The reference GTX 580 from NVIDIA comes with specifications of 772/1544/2004 for the core clock, shader clock, and memory clock. Against that, ZOTAC has ramped up the 512 unified shaders of its GTX 580 to 1630 MHz. The graphics clock too has been pushed up to 815 MHz, while the 1536MB of GDDR5 memory has been set to run at 4100 MHz.
“ZOTAC continues to push the limits of our graphics cards without compromising reliability. We found the perfect combination of performance, energy-efficiency and reliability with the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 580 AMP! Edition,” said Carsten Berger, marketing director, ZOTAC International.
As with its other graphics cards, ZOTAC has clubbed the GeForce GTX 580 AMP! Edition with a full copy of the Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands game to allow gamers to immediately check out the power of the GPU. The other inclusion in the bundle is the ZOTAC Boost Premium software, which allows enthusiasts to draw out the maximum from their card.
Availability and pricing details for the card are still awaited.
