8800 XXX series

Earlier we brought you the news that Nvidia wasn't going to allow any overclocked versions of it's 8800 series . Well apparently, XFX is the first to persuade Nvidia to let it play with some overclocked versions. XFX has just released a limited edition of cards overclocked to 630MHz Core/2GHz Memory. The stock G80 GTX works at 575MHz Core/1.8MHz memory speed.

According to the source, the cards will be limited and it will be the part of the XXX edition series. It will be called the 8800 GTX XXX Edition and grab one while you can. XFX also launched the 8800GTS XXX Edition, and that product is clocked to 550 MHz Core and 1.8GHz for memory.

Both of XFX's new XXX Edition GeForce 8800-series cards will be available to buy in limited quantities over the coming days. The 8800 GTS XXX Edition is listed at a reasonably respectable £364.11 including VAT, while the 8800 GTX XXX Edition is listed at a stomach churning £528.61 including VAT which can be had at Spain; www.coolmod.es , France; www.materiel.net , Germany; www.alternate.de , Scandinavia; www.komplett.com , UK; www.scan.co.uk
