Watch Out for the Asus Eee Keyboard in June

After showing up at various tradeshows and causing waves all around, the Asus Eee Keyboard is finally set to be out this June; or at least this is what a report by Engadget Chinese claims.
You might be thinking – what is so special about a keyboard? But this is no ordinary keyboard. If the description from Asus is to be believed, it is “a fully functional PC”. In other words, it is a full netbook built into a keyboard.
The specifications as revealed by Asus include a 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB DDR2 RAM, choice between 16GB or 32GB SSD, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and Bluetooth. On the ports side, the keyboard reportedly has HDMI, three USB ports, VGA, and audio I/O. Additionally, the keyboard also boasts of a 5in touch panel and wireless HDMI out, features which make it stand out.
The touchscreen doubles as a multi-function multimedia remote, browser, media player and calculator. Weighing an amazingly light 900g, the wired HDMI version is expected to be priced around $400, while the wireless HDMI model might cost around $600.
Impressive specifications for a keyboard, but still to be backed by proven performance; if you find it interesting, just wait for June and you might have one in your hands.
