Thermaltake Unveils Tt eSPORTS Branded Gaming Peripherals Page: 1

Thermaltake is officially entering the gaming peripherals arena… the manufacturer has announced the launch of a new division – Tt eSPORTS dedicated to gaming peripherals. The announcement came at CeBIT 2010 yesterday.

The motto for the new division, which has taken off with three product line-ups, is “the challenge is the game”. The product launches accompanying the new division include the Challenger series keyboards, the Black mice, and the Shock series headsets.

The Challenger keyboards feature an extended cooling fan that blows air over the surface of the keyboard. The idea is to keep the sweat off your hands and palms as you play for long hours and at extreme levels. In addition to the fan, Thermaltake has put in an RGB backlight, fourteen programmable macro keys, and anti-ghost technology into the keyboard to create the Challenger Ultimate version of the keyboard. The anti-ghost technology allows the keyboard to handle up to 20 simultaneous key presses without working up a sweat.

The keyboard boasts of 64KB of internal memory for its five game preset modes and 70 macro present levels that can be programmed into it. If you need to, you can even attach other devices with the keyboard through the two USB ports provided.

Moving on to the Black Element mouse, it boasts of the Phillips precision laser engine, which gives it an astounding 4000 DPI resolution. The manufacturer claims it can be used on most surfaces, and with the adjustable weights, can be customized to give the right feel for any hand. It carries a whopping nine buttons and also has a red LED-lit scroll wheel for that enhanced gaming experience.

The third product of the pack is the Shock One headset, which delivers DTS 5.1 channel virtual surround sound. Clubbed with its over-ear design and a fully adjustable noise-cancelling microphone, the mouse is a perfect device for extreme gamers. It also has replaceable ear pads and a special red LED on the ear cup that creates the right gaming environment. Thermaltake has given the Shock One headset a folding design that makes it easy to transport and store.

While the brand and its products have been launched, Thermaltake has not revealed the prices they will be available at.
