The Ultra Powerful LAN Warrior from iBUYPOWER
California based iBUYPOWER today announced its power-computing system LAN Warrior, which is based on the Intel Core i7 processor. According to the manufacturer, the small-form-factor (SFF) PC offers “enough firepower to stand toe-to-toe with even the most advanced gaming systems.”
Power computing enthusiasts are likely to find the LAN Warrior irresistible; they can take their pick of Intel Core i7 processors including the 965 Extreme combined with up to 12GB of tri-channel memory. The entire system is housed in a killer looking but compact NZXT Rogue chassis that accommodates an ASUS Rampage II Gene motherboard. The company is also offering optional Asetek liquid cooling and a choice between twin NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295s or a pair of ATI Radeon HD 4890s.
The deceptively small Rogue chassis also has enough room for four 3.5in drives that can be configured with up to 6TB of hard drive space and a Blu-ray drive if you fancy one. The base system costs a decent $999 and comes with an Intel Core i7 920 2.66GHz processor, 3GB of DDR3 memory and an NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT graphics card.
The company however is offering enough upgrade options to drive you crazy; the LAN Warrior can easily burn a $5,000 hole in your pocket if you go trigger-happy.
