Check your e-mails folks, the long-awaited time has come! Blizzard has sent out the first wave of invitations for the Starcraft 2 public beta. A few thousand lucky gamers have gotten the chance to get a first hand-on look at the highly anticipated sequel in the Starcraft universe.
"Gathering concentrated feedback from our players is an important step for us as we head into the final stretch of development for StarCraft II and the new Battle.net service," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "We look forward to having our players' help in polishing the overall experience and preparing for launch."
Didn't get an invite? Never fear, you may get one later. As they have done in the past, Blizzard is conducting beta testing in phases, sending out waves of invites at intervals.
In addition to this, Blizzard has decided not not include an NDA with the invites. Thus, several websites dedicated to the game have already put up live feeds to give others a chance to see what's changed.
