Premium cooling solutions creator Noctua today introduced their exquisitely designed new CPU cooler – NH-C14. The cooling solution has been designed as a highly customizable, premium-class top-flow one that continues Noctua’s tradition of highly efficient, quiet cooling.
The NH-C14 sports a six heatpipe c-type design. It comes equipped with Noctua’s highly capable NF-P14 FLX 140mm fans that together with the six heatpipes, bring exceptional air flow and cooling to all CPU components. Both fans can be custom installed and configured such that one is on top and the other underneath the fin-stack. This allows the cooler to deliver maximum performance in dual fan mode or work in a lower profile or provide maximum component clearance in single fan modes.
When a single fan is used underneath the fin-stack, the NH-C14 reaches up to a slim 105mm in height – a perfect solution for those restricted spaces and HTPC applications. If only the top fan is used, the cooler leaves as much as 65mm of clear space for chipset coolers and RAM modules that require high heat-spreaders.
The entire set up has been thoroughly dabbed with a tube of Noctua’s award-winning NT-H1 thermal compound and clubbed with the company’s Low-Noise and Ultra-Low-Noise Adaptors (U.L.N.A.). Also present is the professional SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting system, which makes the NH-C14 compatible with LGA1366, LGA1156, LGA1155, LGA775, AM2, AM2+, and AM3 sockets.
Talking about the new cooler package, Noctua’s CEO Mag. Roland Mossing said, “Our NH-C12 coolers are renowned to rank among the most capable top-flow cooling solutions on the market, so we're truly proud to offer a further substantial improvement in quiet cooling performance with the new NH-C14. This model really closes the gap to good tower coolers while being much lower in height and ensuring better component cooling.”
The NH-C14 will be going out to retailers in the first week of December with a suggested price tag of $84.90.
