Two new entry level GPU's released
Targeted at those who wish to upgrade from IGP (Integrated Graphics Processors), AMD have released the Radeon HD 4350 & HD 4550 today. Both new cards feature DX10.1 support, DisplayPort and AVIVO with UVD 2 (Unified Video Decoder) engine. The new cards GPU architectures are based on the that of the 4800 series. They are claimed to require just 20w power input under full load and can be easily passively cooled.
The HD4550 is equipped with 512MB of GDDR3 and weighs in at around $59 USD, while the HD4350 is equipped with 256MB of GDDR3 and is priced around the $39 USD mark. With such low power requirements, price and heat output, these new cards could be quite attractive to those considering building a home theatre PC.
