The monitor above is a concept monitor on display from Dell along with their many other concept ideas. The monitor, with its edgy glass frame, is one of the latest ideas from Dell designers; however, no on can say for sure if this monitor will every actually be released. This 22 inch beauty sports four built in speakers and a webcam/microphone for video conferencing and chatting with friends. This concept monitor also boasts an "ultra flat" design, which is partially achieved by Dell's decision to relocate the power supply outside the monitor. It's also rumored that, if released, this monitor will display and ultra high-def 1920x1200 resolution, which isn't so common in 22" displays. Judging by the quality of previous Dell monitors, this one is sure to have enough features and performance to please even the pickiest computer user, unfortunately, that may also lead to quite an astounding price. Whether this slick monitor will be released or not remains to be seen, but one would hope that we don't have to wait until next year's CES to find out.
While the new 30-inch monitor comes with specs which will make all of the "Dell is only selling 8-bit LCDs" critics silent, and carbon fibre concepts of DTX form factor that will make Intel cringe, its 22-inch LCD concept is just outstanding.
Whether you think this monitor is beautiful, or looks like the designers fell asleep, tell us your opinion on the forums...
