MSI has been climbing the notebook charts this year and the latest figures from IDC confirm this… the notebook manufacturer now sits smugly in the Top Ten notebook vendors worldwide. For others, it might be time to celebrate and pop a bottle or two of bubbly.
But MSI thinks otherwise. The manufacturer is still hard at work building its notebook lineups. Talking to OC3D, MSI’s mobile computing initiative head Sambora Chen was all gaga over their new audio system that has been crafted in partnership with DynAudio. The system’s now part of the company’s new DX11 gaming notebooks.
Before you start asking “Who the hell is DynAudio,” let us clarify… Bugatti have announced that DynAudio will be providing hi-fi for their next generation projects. So that’s all about DynAudio. We got a first-hand demo of the speaker system that’s part of MSI’s latest GT660 mobile gaming platform. And trust us when we say it rocks; it was impressive even in the massive hall.
Well, it might not be as rocking as Michael J Fox in Back to the Future, but it’s definitely a vast improvement over almost every integrated sound solution currently in the notebook market. Imagine this… you are getting DX11 graphics, high-gloss screens, carbon fibre effect finish, and then you throw in DynAudio sound. That’s serious gaming power! Or should we say mobile gaming is coming of age in 2010?
