MSI Announces AMD Fusion-Powered CR650 Notebook Page: 1

MSI today announced the release of its first AMD Fusion-powered notebook in the form of the CR650. Based on an AMD dual core E-350 processor and packed to the rafters with enviable features, the CR650 is a top-of-the-line notebook that is expected to appeal to both mainstream and power users.

The CR650 is a classy and cool looking notebook that MSI has sheathed in its own color film print coating with a color gradient design. In addition to make the notebook look great, the lustrous coating also protects the system against wear and tear. Under the hood, the notebook is powered by AMDs latest dual core E-350 APU, which boasts of a new x86 core and a Radeon HD 6310 discrete graphics chip. This makes the CR650 one of the most powerful performance notebooks in the market.

MSI has also equipped the system with SRS PC Sound and Cinema Pro technologies to allow users to get the maximum out of the discrete graphics card and enjoy a superior multimedia experience. A single push of the Cinema Pro hot key switches the screen to a high resolution video mode and delivers richer colors that make viewing truly unforgettable. The 16:9 ratio LED display makes for crystal clear, distortion-free images without burning too much of power.

The integrated HD720p webcam is just as good for video conferencing over the internet as it is for taking pictures. The included HDMI slot also allows the notebook to be hooked up to LCD TVs of any size for a large screen experience. The independent Chiclet keyboard and seamless touchpad further add to the appeal of this already classy notebook.

MSI has been active on the power consumption side of things too and equipped the CR650 with its proprietary Turbo Battery+ technology. This power saving technology lets users control power consumption on a wide range of hardware including Bluetooth and wireless devices. The controls to the power supply have been provided right above the CR650’s keyboard in the form of five shortcut keys.

The 15.6in notebook might be fully loaded with features, but in terms of weight, it is an easily luggable 2.3kg. The CR650 comes pre-loaded with many interesting software from MSI including its own facial recognition software, Easy Photo Manager, and the S-bar, all of which make life easy for users.

The company has not revealed any details on pricing or availability.
