Intel’s Motherboard Double Whammy
Intel today unveiled two new motherboards at its annual premier partner summit, one each for nettops and small form factor (SFF) desktops. Both the boards have been given catchy codenames – Johnstown for the nettop and Mystic Lake for the SFF.
D945GSEJT – the nettop board will feature an Atom CPU without a fan. It is a low profile board compared to Intel’s earlier ones and is likely to be priced under $90. The company is hoping to target nettops in the $250 range with this board.
The SFF board on the other hand is the DG41MJ, which is a mini-ITX board that can accommodate Core processors up to 65W TDP. Pricing details for Mystic Lake have not been revealed.
