Award winning power adapter make Innergie today announced the addition of two new ultra-compact universal power adapters to its line-up. The new additions are the Innergie mCube Slim 95 and the mCube Mini 90 Auto/Air adapters – both of which have recently been awarded the prestigious Innovations Design and Engineering Award for “Portable Power”.
The first of the two adapters – the mCube Slim 95 is a truly universal adapter that packs 95W of powerful output in its slim form factor. The adapter can be used equally effectively with portable DVD players and camcorders as it can be with laptops, tablet PCs, E-books, smart phone and portable music players. Innergie has given it an ultra sleek design with smooth flowing surfaces and rounded edges to make the adapter both appealing and easy-to-use.
Power-ports on the adapter have been marked to distinguish between interface connections. The best part about the mCube Slim 95 is that it comes with totally detachable cables for ease of storage. When clubbed with the separately available Magic Tip, it becomes a truly universal adapter that can charge almost all the mobile devices in use today.
The second adapter is the mCube Mini 90 – an in-vehicle charger that has been designed to meet the mobile power needs of mobile travelers and consumers. Being an Auto/Air adapter, it lets users charge their mobile devices such as tablet PCs, phones, music players, GPS devices, and even their laptops in the car or while in a flight. The mCube Mini 90 is also fully compatible with the Magic Tip, which makes it perfect for an astounding array of devices.
Both adapters are surprisingly light and the mCube Mini 90 in particular, is smaller than a pack of gum. Despite this, both adapters come with industry standard safety accreditations and meet the most stringent of safety requirements. Innergie has provided protection against over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature and output overload in both adapters so that users can connect their devices with total ease of mind. A built-in LED indicator on the mCube Mini 90 lets users check the charging status of their device at a glance.
“Innergie is excited and honored to have CES select our new products as Innovations winners,” explains Kevin Lockwood, Senior Director, North America at Innergie. “The mCube Slim 95 and mCube Mini 90 are the two universal adapters anyone who travels should have in their bag. The ability to power all your portable devices with one adapter no matter where you go, is an enormous benefit and completely removes the cumbersome task of organizing and storing several power cables,” Lockwood concluded.
The adapters will be put on public display at the Innovations Design and Engineering Awards showcase in the Grand Lobby at CES 2011 and will become available at select retail outlets in the first quarter of 2011.
