Futuremark is in the mood for some giveaways – the performance benchmarking leader has opened a contest that will let gamers win a one-of-a-kind PC gaming case that has been hand-painted with their own design. Sounds simple doesn’t it? Well, it’s not as simple… check out the details below.
For starters, you are required to download the case template from the 3DMark website. Once you have the template, you have to create a design using the High Temple scene from 3DMark 11 as the base. Then, you must submit this design to Futuremark on or before 23:59 GMT on December 23, 2010.
And what do you get for your efforts? Well it’s nothing less than an Antec Dark Fleet DF-85 case with a hand-painted depiction of your design – if you are the winner that is. Now that should make for an awesome system with an awesome design on top. Just in case you do not win the race, you can still get something – there are four Antec Dark Fleet DF-35 cases and Biostar TH67XE motherboards up for grabs for the runners-up.
Whether the main winner or a runner-up, you are sure to get a free copy of the latest edition of 3DMark – the 3DMark 11 Advanced Edition. This industry leading benchmarking utility for measuring 3D graphics performance is slated for release on November 30.
"The High Temple scene in 3DMark 11 with its lush jungle and mysterious temple provides a rich source of inspiration," said Jukka Mäkinen, Futuremark CEO. "We can't wait to see the designs people create."
"Antec has always been a pioneer in the development and manufacture of PC components," said Scott Richards, senior vice president at Antec. "We're excited to continue that tradition by sponsoring this contest in which people can create original designs of their own."
So if you have those creative juices flowing overtime within you and believe you can create an earth-shattering, world-beating design, jump in right now. Just visit http://www.futuremark.com/case-design-contest to get all the details and download the case template. All the best gamers!
