Entry Graphics Moves Towards IGP
The market for entry-level discrete graphics cards is growing smaller by the minute. It is slowly being taken over by integrated graphics solutions, which have greatly improved over the years. Thus, a number of graphic card manufacturers have turned to selling motherboards with IGP chips, including PowerColor (Tul), XFX, Sapphire, BFG, Gainward, Inno3D, Galaxy and Zotac.
Obviously, it wouldn't be too practical for them to suddenly turn around and bust out these new motherboards, so we have seen an increase in OEM orders. Most have gone to J&W Technology, Palit and Jetway.
How will these new players fight it out for the slim pickings that is the entry-level motherboard market?
