Dell have announced their first sub $1000 Blu-ray compatible notebook which will go on sale for around £450. The notebook is called Inspiron 1525 and comes with a HDMI port so it can be hooked easily up to your HDTV.
 
Other specs include a 15.4inch high definition display that can display up to 720p images, a wide choice of Intel Core 2 CPUs, up to 4GB DDR2 667Mhz ram, a hard disk of up to 250Gb capacity, Intel's GMA x3100 onboard GPU and a Blu-ray optical drive capable of reading and burning DVDs and CDs. The Blu-Ray drive can be upgrade for an extra 200quid to have the ability to burn BD.
