Core i5 Coming Very Soon

It's now common knowledge that Intel's latest processors have been available to purchase in Japan for some time now, despite Intel's best efforts to contain sales until the official launch, which was still unknown.
However, it now seems that the new processors will be here sooner than expected. Yesterday, UK etailer Lambda-Tek listed three new socket 1156 parts, along with prices, although they did seem a little high. Today, UK retailer and system builder Novatech added a Core i5 750 option to their
Elite Pro system, stating it would be available to buy in 5 days. The option is for a 2.66GHz Core i5 750 processor, and the launch date seems pretty firm, tying in with previous rumors.
This could mean that users planning a Lynnefield based system could be ordering sooner than first thought. We have seen countless dual channel memory kits and P55 motherboards, all of which should be available by Tuesday.
Update - The
page was removed completely for a short while and has now been updated. As you can see in the image above, they are no longer listing the processor by name, instead listing it as a "New Future Intel Core I5 Processor - Based Desktop Platform", although apparently still on track for the September 8th launch.
